A community-based kindergarten in Remuera, welcoming children ages 2–5 from all cultures and faiths into a nurturing, enriching environment with dedicated, qualified teachers.
More than 30 years at the heart of our community
Remuera Baptist Kindergarten was established in 1982, with the Kowhai room opening in 2010. We operate under a full-day license and also offer morning and afternoon sessions in both our Kauri and Kowhai rooms.
Our rooms offer fun and stimulating learning opportunities, reflecting the holistic way children learn and grow — guided by the Early Childhood Curriculum Te Whāriki. We build close, respectful relationships with families and whānau.

Three thoughtfully designed spaces, each supporting your child through a different stage of their journey.
The Kowhai Room
A safe and secure environment where children and their whānau settle and develop a sense of belonging and trust — often their very first early childhood experience.
The Kauri Room
A range of opportunities for independence, choice and autonomy, while gently supporting children in their endeavours as their confidence blooms.
The Pōhutukawa Room
A stimulating, supportive environment where authentic literacy and numeracy are woven into learning, building the learner qualities for a smooth transition to school.
Flexible sessions that suit your week
Open 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday. Both our Kauri and Kōwhai rooms offer full-day, morning and afternoon sessions. We ask for a minimum of two sessions per week to help your child settle.
